Beliefs I Hold True.

  1. Street smarts are just as important as book smarts.
  2. Religion (or no religion) is a choice. Don’t force it onto others.
  3. A person’s main motivation should be due to their morals.
  4. Being kind and generous are two must-have qualities.
  5. Patience is a virtue. The longer the wait, the better the reward.
  6. Conflicts and argument are necessary for us to learn and grow.
  7. Doing good deeds just to say you did is shameful, do it because you want to be a better person.
  8. Jumping on the bandwagon means nothing, you should hold your own opinion.
  9. You should never forget the past, always consider the future, and continue to enjoy the now.
—Religion (or no religion) is a choice. Don’t force it onto others.
  • My extended family is religious but my parents never pushed religion on me or my sister, they let us choose what we believe and I really respected that. They taught me that it is neither right nor wrong, and everyone is entitled to their own beliefs no matter what.
  • I have felt very strongly about this for a long time, and don’t think I will be changing my mind any time soon.
  • I listen to others beliefs about religion and respect them and discuss it, but never say it is right or wrong, and hope they don’t say mine are either.
  • I doubt I will ever change my mind on this, at this time I don’t see any way this could hurt anyone else.

—Jumping on the bandwagon means nothing, you should hold your own opinion.

  • As facebook grew bigger I noticed it more and more. And it irritated me quite a bit when everyone jumped on the KONY2012 bandwagon. Don’t get me wrong, I think what they are doing is great, but it is sad to see all the statuses that have a hollow meaning to them when the people really aren’t doing anything.
  • I believe this is bad for the most part but it isn’t a set in stone thing for me.
  • I maintain this belief every time another “bandwagon event” happens, mostly on facebook. It helps me distinguish between a true caring person and one that is just a follower.
  • I don’t hold this to be true all the time though, if people jumping on a bandwagon ever leads to everyone truly caring and helping out I will change my opinion and start to believe that it can lead to something good.

—You should never forget the past, always consider the future, and continue to enjoy the now.

  • Once highschool ended, I realized that I had a lot of cherished memories the those four years that I didn’t realize were such great times until they were over. Now I try and enjoy every moment I have and make actions that will help me in the future.
  • This belief holds true more and more everyday now. I personally don’t see how you couldn’t.
  • I maintain this belief because it provides me with a good outlook on life and allows me to think that I am working towards something better.
  • Again, I don’t think anything will make me change how I feel about this.
